Gigs.

Making music is one thing, getting people to listen to it is another. We've been working at getting some gigs around Connecticut, but haven't had anything major yet. This past Saturday, we played at Hartford Road Cafe in Manchester, CT, backing Dancy - another local band - and we'll be playing the Main Pub in Manchester, CT tomorrow night to back Dancy for a feature and play our own 3-song set. Little victories. Bigger ones to follow.

There was no practice this week, due to the holiday, but we've all been working on lining up some shows. We have some promising leads, and hopefully, we will be announcing some dates/venues soon. Until then, hang tight, and enjoy your day of overeating.

CDs available!

I guess the title of this blog entry is self-explanatory. We have CDs. There is a limited printing now, which will (hopefully) be followed by a mass printing as peoples interest's are sparked, and we earn some money from playing gigs.

This first printing is hand cut and folded, the CDs are hand printed, and the whole thing is hand-assembled. They could be a collectors item someday (we hope).

Halloween snowstorm.

Statewide power outages (specifically at Nancy's house) have put a damper on burning copies of Miasmal Haze...but we will have hard copies soon...hint, hint CL&P.

The Cloud of Sound

With no CD release party in the near future, we are "releasing" Miasmal Haze early, online, for your listening pleasure. Click here to listen to Miasmal Haze on Soundcloud.

Want an actual CD? Come to a show. We will play one...eventually.

Giant Labor of Love

It has been over a year since our first (and only) post. Yikes...but that doesn't mean that we haven't been up to anything. Though we have not been playing any live shows, we have been recording. We recently finished our first EP, Miasmal Haze.

It is a series of five love songs...but not the traditional boy-meets-girl-and-they-live-happily-ever-after kind of love songs. Miasmal Haze is about how love, the desire to feel loved, and the fear of love causes us to do regrettable things to one another. Sometimes we take advantage of others who want love, sometimes we throw away love because we're scared, hurting ourselves and the ones we love...but this was just the starting point. Where we ended up is up to the listener.
